Norman J. Torres
MD, FACS, FAANS
Dr. Norman Torres is a board certified neurosurgeon who has an established practice in the Greater Houston area. Dr. Torres specializes in adult brain and spine surgeries. He treats conditions such as brain tumors, spinal tumors, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, hydrocephalus, trauma and infection of the brain and spine, degenerative spinal conditions, herniated discs and nerve root compression.
Dr. Torres received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of the Philippines. He completed two neurosurgical residences at the University of Illinois and at the Philippine General Hospital. His fellowship training was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center with an emphasis on trauma.
Dr. Torres is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Texas Medical Association. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He was awarded membership to the Phi Kappa Honor Society and received the Academic Excellence Award.
